It was - 25 degrees Celsius with the wind here this morning. Got 10.5" of snow over the course of the weekend. That sucked.

PS...Can I borrow your plow? That thing looks fun! Haha!

I'm sorry guys I didn't get pictures as it was kind of an emergency situation, but a good friend of mine's diesel broke an axle down on a remote back road towing a 20' flat deck with a Cat 289 skid steer on it late last night in a snow storm. Of course I zipped over to help and ended up pulling the trailer + skid steer 100km back to town, then went back with the trailer and picked up the truck (2013 F350 6.7) and towed that back. Average fuel economy for the evening? 43.3l/100km (5.2 mpg ??). I sure wouldn't want to tow that much weight regularly with a half ton, but she did it. Had plenty of power, but brakes and suspension lacked. Of course, I adjusted speed for the situation. Only had 80 pounds of air in the airbags. Ha.

I wonder what the trailer with skid steer weighed? Google says skid steer is about 11,000lbs, and a 20' equipment trailer is probably 3500lbs, plus there's a slip tank that was about half full on the trailer. All in all, probably 15,500-16,000lbs.

Oh, just on the .00001% chance there's a CVSE (Canadian DOT) guy reading this, of course this was all on private property. Without 10 ply E rated tires, and airbags, I wouldn't have done this. Of course not that those things make it legal, smart, or safe to do, it just pushes it into the realm of safe enough for me. Rated for 12,700 from the factory with P rated tires and no airbags, should be fine to be 20% over that in an emerg situation.

Well boys it's a good thing I threw those chains on, weather report called for 2" of snow in total, it's been snowing for 4 hours and we have 12-14", and it's supposed to snow until midnight. (3 more hours)

My quad is stored in a shed behind my house, and this is the result of plowing about 15 feet from shed to side gate.

In other news, i'm going to order a new truck in the next month or so, trying to decide between another 3.5 Ecoboost, or going with a 5.0l and positive displacement intake manifold (aka a big ol' belt driven blower). Just concerned with reliability with 650hp and towing 10,000+lbs at elevation, and how brutal our winters are. Lots of idle time too, which probably isn't good with a supercharger. Truck has 370 hours on it, and something like 75 of them are idle hours.

I don't think superchargers really care about idle time. Turbos can be a little finicky about it.
