Did my tune up today and found some issues, not all the plugs were firing good, prolly because the cap was on loose, three of the hold down things were off and not holding it down at all. I bet that was the main problem.
Up first this aint right
It broke when I took it out but suspect it was cracked already.

Can tell 5 was not burnin right
And the new plugs
Old wires
Even took the belt off and cleaned pullys to try and stop squeel
Made me a tool to take the belt off, welded and old wrench to an old tire tool.
So bad news all that work for nothing, the was almost worse!! Squeels just as bad and constant unless at idle so not sure how to cure that.
Good news, Subzila will walk off and leave my wifes Camaro in the dust!! Holy **** it runs like a bat ot of hell with a jet pack, it is almost ridiculus how fast it is. From a dead stop just put it on the floor and it spins the 37's no problem, no need to power brake. I swear it was only running on 2 cylinders before, at least that is how much of a differance it feels like.

I love new spark plugs. I swear I am the only one I know that replaces them though. On my jeep, I pulled the old ones out and most were gapped over .08 some had no contact filliment left. Just changing the six plugs made the cel clear up and fuel economy went up 2 mpg. In the jeep, those 2 mpg are a big deal.

Not sure if this will help or not but I had a tbi 350 in my Astro van a few years ago and for the life of me I couldn't get it to stop squealing. Replaced pulleys, belt (x2), tensioner, nothing seemed to make it go away. Eventually, someone in a forum mentioned that they had solved the same issue with a Gatorback serp belt. Desperate, I tried it and it worked. I have no idea why, but might be worth a try.

Did the same on my bimmer, replaced a brand new set of OE conti belts with the gatorback parts and it shut right up.
starting the seat upgrade picked these up for $200
here is where the rear seat is gonna wind up more or less, a little further back than stock but still plenty of room behind for storage.
gotta raise it up a bit but I think it will work out by the time I figure asolid way to mount it.
now thw front seats are gonna be a different story, that are gonna take considerable more fabrication. I started with the passenger side and kinda got a good idea of what direction to go. Had to get the sawzall out and cut the brackets shorter and remove all the mounts.
made a couple little rear brackets and tacked them on just to start the fitting process.
the driver side rear had some issues wiht the motor but worked around it. the middle row aill be solid mounted and not move front to back, only lay back.
got quite a ways to go ant the front seats when I get them are gonna be a real pain. I might have to cut out the floor pan in the front to make it flat, as it is now there is a hump, burbs have a different pan than blazers.

Yep gonna have to cut the floor out and re weld it in to remove the hump to get the seat height right on the front. Removed the brackets and still way to high, looks like I will have time though cant seem to find two more front seats so gonna have to wait till I do.

Great Build. Not too many Burbs being built. Glad I am not the only crazy one out there. Keep up the great thread.
well since I am 6'4" I like to make stuff tall friendly so I am putting a lift on the rear seat and moving it back about 6 inches to give better leg room. If you think the brackets are to big your right, but they are not meant to stay in the truck in the event I take the seat out, if that happens I will un bolt them. The plan is to weld the nuts to the backing plates and weld the backing plates to the underside of the floor so it will be very easy to take the bolts out or in and remove or replace the brackets.
I have to put the backing plates in anyway since the seat has integrated belts and needs to have the mounting points reinforced. I raised the front 1.5" and the rear 3" above the floor and I think this is a lot higher than they sit from the factory in the late model burbs since the mounting points are recesed. I am very happy with the seating angle, so here are all the pics from last night, still need to drill and paint all the brackets them put it in the burb and make and weld up backing plates.

Looks like you got a score on those seats for $200 That way you can afford to do some fabrication work. Looks like the kids approve of the new rear seat. Your fabrication is coming along nicely and I am sure you are going to be a happy camper when you get the new seats installed. Nice job!
