88 FJ62 Rebuild and LSX Swap

X-mas in November, I received a care package from Georg at Valley Hybrids, thanks Georg. Completely rebuilt case, already attached to the adapter to the 4L65E GM trans. Came with a set of twin sticks too

Got the axles hung this morning

Everything back in working order, drums still have plenty of life in them, had them turned. Pulled the bell cranks apart cleaned and dry lubed them.

Brake lines for these old trucks are hard to come by, so the next best option is making them yourself. The LSVP is being deleted from the system in favor of a proportioning valve near the MC

Pulling up the carpet and removing the heat shields revealed several new holes in the floor. The pound and a half or so of sand I found did not help one bit...

I make my own patch panels on the bead roller. There is no set die to make this profile so I mix and match dies and make the profile with multiple passes
