Yep between work, truck pulls, and wrenching/fabbing I've been real busy. however minus the carnage I did real well pulling this season and the winnings more than paid for the carnage. except the tranny incedent.

Yes, beer is a must when working on this old junk of mine.

Welp got about 100 miles on the new tranny and the only issue is the reverse lights don't work. Probably gonna have to fanagle the backup light switch out and change it.

I forgot how much I like drivng this old wreck.

so what is your take on a divorce np205 living behind a 300-400 hp cummins daily driver tow rig, properly supported of course. think it will make it?

i am considering putting a divorced np205 behind my 13 speed in my f350. have heard rumors of them being questionable and noticed that yours seems to be surviving the pulling.

glad you got the ole girl put back together again!

As long as you don't sled pull it it should be an excelent choice. Mines got almost 428,000 miles on it and its never been opened up other than puttin seals in it when I had it out this last time.

In the pulling world they are not Ideal as with the helical cut gears create tons of thrust and they like to push bearing retainers off and in extreme instances they will split the case. I've been luck so far.

So over the last couple days we've been pretty busy on the 90. repaired the odometer as the it had broke the little gear the motor which is pretty common on these trucks. Then the other night I dug in to reseal the VE and to swap n a different set of injectors and I also replaced the tappet cover gasket and spun a new fuel filter on it. While I was in the Injection pump I swapped in some solid rollers and heavy duty return springs, I also thought about swappin in a different camplate with a different profile but wasn't sure if it would mess with the internal timing advance

The VE fought me the whole way, first off the bottom nut was a huge pain in the butt even with the correct wrench. Then after I had the pump all back together an on the truck I realized I had left a piece of the control valve out and the truck wouldn't idle, so off with the pump again, I replaced the piece I left out and jammed it back on the truck, set the Idle and I think were golden now. It'll be kina nice not leaving a puddle of fuel under the truck when ts cold now. I imagine it should help with economy also.
