Sorry everyone, it has been slow going. Panels just arrived. We are still figuring out how we want to mount it to the frame. I should be able to post some more later this month!
Looking at that pic, LOTS! ..... Hope you're going for a 3 point system.. 2 at the front (one on each chassis rail about 1200mm from the back of the cab, and one in the center of the chassis just behind the rear axle..
And this got me thinking about 3 or 4 point body mounting... and a quick google search bought be back here, but to a thread solely on flex and 3 vs 4 points.. There's a lot of discussion on it! I'm now looking into two pivot points.. One behind the cab, and one at the rear, but there needs to be a pair of carriers in the middle (one on each rail), but these middle two need to have the ability to cope with 'fore and aft' movement. The front and rear mounts will be purely for pivoting, but the centers will do the carrying.. Off to do some more research!

I have the Dometic equivalent (HB2500 I think) to that Truma and run it off a 2.5KVA inverter. It works. But I would say that it struggles to cool the camper and mine is heavily insulated.

We have used the Dometic HB2500 for years professionaly at my workplace, for operators cabin on various mining equipment. But a couple of months ago we were informed that Dometic had discontinued this model. So we had to redesign some of our equipment and instead install the succsessor; Dometic Freshwell 3000 (http://www.dometic.eu/product/dometic-freshwell-3000/), a bit more compact design, but equivalent characteristics. If onstalled correctly this can be a quite efficient little unit, and compared to other available hvac units I think its good value for the price! Only downside is that it requires 230v Quality seems to be good

I tried this in my truck and found that the inverter put out enough heat to make the effect of the air conditioner almost worthless. It would obviously work better if the inverter was ventilated to the exterior.
