Did you guys ever even get to use 4wd?
Never did hear back from Poison Spider... May have to try a long distance call...
Did you guys ever even get to use 4wd?
Very nice. Since this is a shtf build, you got plans for defending this rig?
Thanks a bunch. I don't mind supporting someone that takes the time to put together something correctly. I shot a PM to their vendor on the military Jeepers site as well in a hopes to hear something. I'm not sure if they are wanting to look into it first or if there is just a communication disconnect.?. *shrugs* Its not a huge hurry for me but I'd like to at least hear a yea or nay from the proverbial horses mouth. If they can't or won't then I'll understand and will be begging you for info on the one you found online. haha! I wish I was better at online searches... computers are just not my thing.
And I love that line... "I am still in the building stage, not ready for the repair stage yet!" hahahaha! Quote of the day if I ever heard one!
Sorry man.... I have looked everywhere for that link, and searched for the part again without luck. I'll let you know if I stubble accross it!
The extra time and work on the bumper really shows! On the whole Jeep really!
I need to mod mine a bit but I got it done and on in time to get to Moab at midnight. Here are a few pics.

After paint I can see all sorts of grind marks and not so great fab work. It is functionally sound it could look better though. Notes for others may follow and build similar: My hatch JUST clears my tire when I open it, I need to mod it some more to fit a larger tire. I have it to the passenger side to keep the weight on the hinge as well as have room to add a jerry can. As I said before I made the opening to narrow, double check how wide the hatch is and make room for body flex. My latch also needs to be moved, it is hard to open and close but it loose when closed. Due to time constraints I had to weld it on instead of drilling tapping and bolting like I wanted to.
Thanks for posting this, it was fun to read about yours as I was building mine.
Hey, Its cool! I appreciate you trying. I sent a PM to Dusty (PS Vendor on Military Jeepers) but haven't heard back...Guess those guys don't want to talk to me? *shrugs* Oh well... I'll either look into fabricating my own ideas or plagiarize some of the many I have been looking at to make my own unique (bastardized!) version. haha!
When was your trip to moab? You didn't happen to see a built YJ on 35s that looked like some kind of Christmas color reject did you?
Sorry to hear that man! I kinda felt like they were taking really good care of me by supplying the parts. I wish you the best with your build. I will start lobbying for Poison to offer a kit, maybe the answer will be different in the future
