Few updates that are way over due...

Dana 30 Eaton E locker with G2 4.10 ring and pinions for front and back. Plus some ball joints and brakes that are due as well.

The guys that do a lot of offroading on some of the fb pages im on like B Lee links and 1 Ton swaps. Steering box upgrades are pretty common, I put a Durango box in mine. Mainly to get rid of a leak but it also is a beefier box and has a slightly quicker ratio to it

Nice to see another XJ getting built! It seems like there are about half a dozen on ExPo, currently at different stages.

Thanks! I've always wanted to build one. They're so inexpensive and versatile.

I've hunted for one of these things for about a year. I went through probably hundreds of transfer cases looking for one.

Just read your project really like it direction you've taken. I know you loose a lot inside storage but I like the fuel and wheel storage in the last picture.
