A Hummer H3 built for everything.

Yeah I have the Centramatics. They don't make it for all the wheel patterns so make sure you check first. You also have to check clearance with the brake calipers.

This Saturday I met up with my friend Zack for a test session at Uwharrie National Forest. Zack is the Uwharrie guru. He lives just down the road, and knows that place like his back yard.

Airing down at the base of Daniel before heading out. I had to remove my airbag fuse since H3 are notorious on going off at extreme angles. Man how I hate all this electronics. I miss the simplicity of my TJ!

Right when Daniel starts to get interesting, I could already check if the 40s were rubbing. So far so good. :)

On the first step I immediately discovered that the Fox coilovers where not valved for the weight of my truck. As Zack put it: "the suspension was just slinkying all over the place". They were obviously valved for a vehicle like a JK. That made the truck bounce like crazy till it rested the back of the roof on the berm. One thing's for sure, the custom slantback roof is made to withstand serious abuse! I'll be bringing my Fox shocks in to get revalved! That was an exciting way to start the day. I used my Warn military winch with Master Pull line to pull the truck back down, so I could drive it out without creating any permanent damage.

The rest of the day went smooth, and I really got to test the truck on some more extreme terrain. It was fun and very satisfying. Here's some of the pics that Zack took. Thanks Zack!

I love wheeling at Uwharrie. It's such a scenic park. I didn't build this rig for rockcrawlling, but I do like to put it through its paces so I can see what it's capable of, and what needs to be improved/fixed.

I just went through every page - amazing work and vision!!

Any other big items left for this rig? Have you considered an air pump with refillable tank for tires, tools, etc? (i noticed you had the bottle)

The really big stuff is pretty much done. I want to get fender tubes to protect them. Lower door reinforcement panels. A very low profile rack for my Maxtraxs. A double cardan rear driveshaft that's has already been ordered. Limb risers. Install HID lights I bought over a year ago. They're not some cheap upgrade kit. Find a location for dual battery setup. Already have a 250 amp alternator. Make a custom interior in the rear that replaces the rear seats. Something that is removable, but will be able to hold the spare tire as well as the MWCs. I have a MFC rack that goes in the place of the spare tire rack. I believe in fuel containers being outside the vehicle for safety reasons.

I have redundant air systems. I've had a Viaiar 100% duty cycle compressor that I've owned for ever. The ARB locker compressor is already prepped to be used as one with a quick release fitting. The Power Tank is fully functional and my primary source, my 40" tires take forever with the other setups.

That about covers it. :)

I love that hill! I've only been there once because I live in Maryland but that's awesome. Not a fan of any hummer but I'd be proud just to see yours in person! I love your truck! Totally amazing job! I've shown this to every Jeep buddy I know. Everyone loves it! Keep posting updates and get someone outside to get some video. Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks Mike. Plan on hitting Uwharrie again tomorrow. I'll see if I can get someone to film me from outside.

If everything works out, I should have them up by tomorrow evening. Good to see an open minded Jeep owner.
