A pillar handles question

I have a 2002 E450 that does not have the a pillar grab handles. I know that later models do have them. Does anyone by chance know if the mounting brackets are already in place on the 2002 models? Dont really want to pop by panels off if I dont have to.

They will fit. I have done it. The older models have a bracket on the right side you have to remove then everything goes in. You'll need to put the left side in with metal screws

How about an early ‘97?

I'm relatively confident that the slots and holes never really changed that much. Worst case you mark where you need a slot for the clip and start making sparks.
