Poked around the ghost town of Nakovanj in Croatia last year. I really like that country.

I got a few from our Upper Penninsula trip.

This was the high school in White Pine, MI I beleive. The nearby copper mine closed a few years ago and the town is getting pretty deserted.

Redridge Dam. One of only 3 steel dams ever constructed and the last one remaining.

Part of the Atlas Powder dynamite factory. Closed in the 60s.

Redridge Dam. One of only 3 steel dams ever constructed and the last one remaining.

Cool, but its not the only one left standing. This one is near Williams, AZ right off of an abandoned stretch of Route 66.

@Rattler, are we seeing the water side of the dam there then? I thought it was the other way around until I saw Wallache's pics, then I looked closer and saw the water flowing towards the dam wall.

Easy (assuming you refer to the gold mine), it's still operating as a tourist attraction you can camp there or stay in a cabin. I worked there for 6 months (used to operate the stamp amongst other tasks).
