It must have been a “dark and stormy night” when this big ferry boat got washed up onto this inlet and abandoned:

Built in 1928 and launched from the drydocks of the New York Harbor, the Ocean City silently departed for its destination: She made a long Journey to a sad end.

Looks like a great spot. I wonder why it was abandoned.

It's an illustrated villa built by a Russian in the 1870s, and has changed ownership several times. The last owner was Swiss artist Franz Fischer, who died in 1980, and the villa was abandoned at that time.

Apparently, it has just been sold again for restoration, which would cost around $10 million.
It is part of our heritage and cannot be destroyed.

Luciano Pavarotti has performed here in the past.
