I am interested in adding a second battery to my 2005 F-150 inside the camper shell, but not for true expedition use... It will only be used to power an inverter, for purposes such as making a pot of coffee, charging dog collars, boot dryers, etc. My question is this: my truck has the factory towing package, and on the 7-pin connector, there is a "trailer battery charge wire". It is only hot when the truck is running. Is it OK to hook up this to my second battery for charging purposes?
