Wow looking good man! What is the "dungeon" looking area in the front of the camper that appears to be under the bed going to be? Some sort of storage? Or am I looking at it wrong?

I was at the fab guy yesterday and shot a few pictures as he was working away. He is doing a great job, over budget, but a great job.

Looking good! Over budget, lol when does ANYTHING come in UNDER budget? Is there such a thing?

Yes the fenders may end up being a little close, you may want to have him flex the truck out and see if they are going to work. Also, the mounts look good, but will he be boxing them so there is no front to back/side to side only up and down movement?

Good idea about flexing the suspension to check the fender clearance. The mounts will be boxed in to stop side to side movement, in addition the the bed will be able to be bolted down to eliminate flex if needed.

Is the flatbed connected to the frame in 4 places? Is the spring mount used at all the connections?

Thanks
-Chris

Hi Chris,

The flatbed will be fixed in the rear with four sets of spring mounts total for a total of six mounting points. The bed will have a sleeve to keep it from sliding back and forth.

Here is an example of one of the four spring mounts in place:

In this image you can see the "sleeve" that keeps the bed from sliding back and forth sideways:
