Yep, I couldn't get my favorites [7.50 R 16]. So this is a bit wider and just as high, if I am not mistaken.

Got it fixed. Let's see how it holds. We might need to get a whole new chassis somewhere down the road....

We get on with the "real" stuff, I mean what this adventure is made for:

800km of mostly unmaintained asphalt from the 70's mixed with some deep gullies and fallen trees. What do you bring?

The wheelbarrow still is the most versatile piece of gardening tool, where do you put it to use?

We love the trees in the Amazon rainforest. But they shouldn't be lying across the road! How do you deal with this?

Coen, working hard on the BR319 the "main highway" between Manaus and Porto Velho. Some tree is blocking the road.

Just to remind you where we are, this is the BR319, the main highway between Manaus and Porto Velho!

A careful inspection of each rickety bridge on the BR319 is in order. Who do you trust to guide you over these?

Scary?! Crashing through the dust at high speed and coming straight for you. What are the options?

The real wild west is passing us by. Time stood still, it's like watching a movie. Where did you have this feeling?

No road signs needed, just paint it on the road! And no, this is not the Tour de France ;-)

The wild west still exists! Cattle drive old skool, walking 1370 cows for 8 months on the Transamazônica.

Home brew cars in the wild west of the Amazon. Engine used for a generator as energy supply was doggy lately he said.

This looks like a set straight from an old western movie. But it's not, it's a fully functional saw mill...

Never seen this before. An automated saw sharpening machine. Very cool to watch. Have you seen one?

Imagine. the middle of the Amazon. You see a river. Water level drops and white sandy beaches appear.. camp or move on?



And then all of a sudden we find ourselves in Belem where we decide to take the top off the Land Cruiser to do some alu welding...

Driving topless for the time being!

Getting the roof off requires awesome power and some tools.
