I can't help but notice my name still hasn't appeared on the run lists. Don't want to jump to any conclusions here, but I thought my wording was sufficiently clear that I was interested in participating.
uh yeah me too, I posted I wanted to go on the grand canyon ride pretty early on but I am at least on the wait list:elkgrin:
Ok so how about we meet at OJ/AT do the cookout movie thing and after Mario leaves with his preselected 10 trucks we can follow close behind with our own group of 10:victory:

You're on updated list for Smiley Rock and on wait list for GC.

You have been on the list since yesterday morning when datrpr dropped out. you may need to refresh your browser to see the updates in my post with the list.

Please understand that the reason the trips are being kept to small size is to minimize the impact in the area. As it is a holiday weekend, I am certain we will not be the only ones on the trail.

dirty Bakers 100%

The listings for dirty Bakers are 100% as far as attendence to the smiley rock trail run. We were wondering if we need to bring anything as far as food or drink for the BBQ after the run.

Thanks for putting me the list for the Grand Canyon , now I can't make it!
work is sending me out of town again, headed to Farmington then over to Flagstaff might be able to make the cookout thing, is there room anywhere nearby to park a semi?

We'll be grilling dogs & burgers for all until they run out. Bring your own drinks & munchies and a chair if you plan to stay for for the movie after the BBQ.

Thanks for the heads up. There is a truck stop in PV but no such parking near the shop.

Mario,
I see that there is a waiting list started for Smiley Rock. The wife and I would like to give up our spot to make room for others. We've run that trail a few dozen times.
We are definetly still on for the GC trip. :smiley_drive:Thanks, Ryan

You are a gentleman sir. Colin Crim thanks you.

After speaking with Mark - Crawler976 about Smiley Rock it seems that both his Powerwagon and the WAVE would have a bad time on the trail...big rocks, lots of overhang and tight turns.
Remember I am taking a disabled participant who is a friend of Rex's and it is supposed to be "fun" for this person, trail damage & carnage are never fun.

I am pm'ing with Mark about alt trails and of course he has a ton of suggestions in the area including one I reallly like the sound of.

So Mario please give my Smiley Rock spot to someone else.

For everyone else there will be an alt group leaving the shop at the same time doing a milder (but very scenic & historic) trail in the area.
Anyone else want to go with us?
