AWD with low range

several others and myself have already explained it, but you replace our reasoning with your own and insist that we are wrong.

You're making illogical arguments. I'm going to ask you this one more time. How can more torque at the wheels prevent you from sticking, if the problem isn't inability to turn the wheels due to lack of torque?

The argument for low range that made sense was about overheating by lugging the engine. But that's separate from sticking/not sticking.

This a reasonable question, alex, to which a reasonable response would be welcome.

Alex, buddy, you are the only one making this personal. Wink here is just trying to see your point of view. If you don't want to try to explain it further, or don't know how, please be a gentleman and don't post.

I went to the north end of CB and one friend brought his wife's Ford Escape and he actually had no problem driving down the beach. This was on july 4th weekend when there are big ruts and it is all almost loose sand. He also got mid 20s mpg while on the highway while the rest of us got mid teens.
