Battery post connector for multiple wires?

Great input guys. Right now I am trying to decide rather to solder or crimp. Ideally I would like to crimp but can not shell out $200 for 0 awg crimpers.

Could always go with a punch and a hammer, vice, just a hammer enough to get a crimp then solder as well.
Can you cut your cables to length, then take them to somebody with a crimper?
I'm thinking that one of those LW style vise grips would crimp terminals with some authority.

I can cut the cables for the aux box and circuit breaker and have them crimped at west marine but I cannot exactly disconnect the engine bay harness and take it in.

If the crimper lasts through this project than it will be worth the $40.
I'd love to buy a nicer hydraulic crimper, but it is not the right time.

I'd be looking at a propane torch if one isn't already on hand (and a bottle of propane at the local Wal-Mart or Home Depot), and some 60/40 electrical solder... Not only is it cheaper, that torch can come in handy for a million other uses as well after this project.

Harbor Freight has a well regarded hydraulic crimper for $55, with their ubiquitous 20% coupons, that's $44.

btw, propane / butane / MAPP torch tips also screw onto those squat camping propane bottles, same fitting.

I have this YQK-120 crimper I bought off eBay for about the same price a year ago. Made all new positive and negative cables for both my Jeep and Hyundai as well as rebuilding the battery cables on a Load Trail dump trailer at work. Mostly 4 awg with some 2 awg on the dump trailer, but it's still holding up. The main issue I had is the dies are in mm^2 not AWG so kinda have to rough convert the dies to AWG. Also threw the case away and put it in a small tool box because I got a few plastic slivers from the case. Probably not as nice to work with as the high dollar crimpers, but I'd buy it if I had to do it all over again.

Indeed they do.
I haven't bought one of those tall skinny type bottles of propane in decades because of the price gouging on them. HD & WM both sell both styles of bottle.

I've used solder slugs from delcity.net and a torch for multiple connections, they have all held up fine to years of offroad trips. On one project i needed to terminate a battery cable that was already in the engine bay and I didn't want to use a torch. Instead I used a vise and a nail to crimp the terminal, this has also held up with no issues. All connections were covered with high-quality adhesive heat shrink.

Did the install in the dark tonight.
Used a Harbor Freight Pneumatic Crimper. Really liked it.
