Thanks! I bout it at the local Junkyard U-Pull-and-pay. It came off a 2004 red Montero. So I just masked it off and sprayed it with Plasti-dip. Came out good and it was cheap.

Got some new lights. Now I just need to find a spot for them. I am thinking of cowl lights where windshield meets the hood.





I will probably have to make brackets, unless anyone knows of someone making them for our Montero's.

Not to poo poo someone's great idea, but what would prevent you from being blinded by the reflection of all that light from your hood?

That's a good question. I am not sure. But they are spot lights so the beam should be pretty strong up close. Good thing my hood is black, so that should help absorb some reflection I would imagine.

Nice looking montero, and like the two subarus, just got an sti a few months ago, its a really fun car. Interested to see how the lights turn out in the cowl are, was thinking of doing that to my montero as well.

Thanks! How do you like it so far? I love Subarus. My swapped GC has a 2014 SB and it's a hybrid build. Made 400hp to the wheels. It's a quick little car.

As for the Montero I am excited about putting the spots up, but need a warm day to spend some time coming up with a template for the brackets.
