Um, one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. What's the roughest terrain you've taken her over? Can you fit all your gear in it when it's all stored for driving?

Breeah,

Well, it's a personal problem about how much "gear" I have.

If I am taking my bowser Roxy with me and her crate, I still put the larger stove, Dutch oven, extra water, etc in the 4Runner. But yes, most normal camping equipment could totally be stored in the KK trailer or on top of it.

The under bed storage drawer carries all my clothes, parkas, etc, so no need for additional bags.

It's built like a tank with independent suspension and great clearance so you can tow it through most back country roads. I wouldn’t take it through the Rubicon but I have taken it on some pretty rugged Arizona mining shelf roads. I do need to add a skid plate on the rear for when you drive through deep wash outs or high steps but I have only kissed the back end once in years of off road use.

You would have to pry this puppy out of my cold dead hands. :pROFSheriffHL:

Back on the road after recovering from my Utah wind abuse. :wings:

Here are few shots from my camp on Mt Graham last weekend.

When Storms Are Brewing

After my Utah wind experience I might be a little paranoid. :sombrero:

I went camping up near Mt Bigelow this last weekend and I knew there would be the typical Monsoon thunderstorms. Since I was fairly exposed near a point I decided to overkill the storm proofing.

I removed the tropical roof canvas and instead of the quick support poles for the qwik awning I used the regular ground poles and added stretcher bars to add support. Then I tied the whole thing down with 19 guy ropes. A little overkill but it did the job. We got hit pretty hard with wind, pouring rain and hail and the set up was rock solid.

I should say you had the KK anchored down! I still haven't tried my Kwik Wall kit...but planning to in October for hunting.

Good pics as usual Brad!

Cool Brad. I just ordered some of the beefier tent stakes and a few more ropes just in case

Going to Ouray this weekend for 3 nights of camping

Thanks Dan. Yes I think it was little excessive for the conditions but it was rock solid. :sombrero:

Wow, I've never put out 2 lines for each pole. I've only got the "regular" awning, though, and it has probably double the number of poles.

Awesome pictures!

I usually don't use more than one guy rope per pole either. This time I was still healing from my Utah wind abuse and knew thunderstorms were coming in so I got a little carried away.

But, as you, I've been awoken in the middle of the night/deep sleep by high winds. And its no fun trying to add extra guy lines when 1/2 a sleep, in the dark and with a 30mph+ wind :). Or you could just roll over and go back to sleep :coffeedrink:
