Yeah the 37" ko2s are actually a lower load rating and the same weight as the 35s. That's why I toyed with the idea of that size.

Every time I go up to Santa Barbara wine country, I come back really wanting a CJ8 Scrambler with troopy seats. Like this one I saw in September. I've seen them for sale for $7000 or so. Seems like the best deal for what I'd use one for between the $2000 rust heaps and $25000 show jeeps. Most of my driving is in town driving running errands or going to the beach. And the weather is usually nice. So something like that would be a lot of fun and fit in my garage. One day.

Thanks guys. This all started because I got a set of these 7" ARB style LED lights. I was trying to mount them to my winch fairlead but it looked kind of goofy. And my winch line was getting faded.
The Maximus 3 winch plate and light brackets show up tomorrow.
The aluminum on my winch is oxidizing badly. So I'm wire wheeling and repainting it today.
I need to source some clips to get the rear bumper panels on. I started getting the front bumper wings on this morning.
Set up I was attempting.
Moving to this.
Wire wheeled the oxidation off my winch. Painting it.
I guess it's at the end of stage 2? I don't recall all of the stages. But everything is pretty well sorted. I was going to install a dual Viair 400 OBA set up inside the stock bumper but this changes that. Might have to go back to a single 400 or get the ARB dual and mount it in the engine bay. Other than that, I'll get the AEV tore carrier and field caddy in the next couple months and install some 35s by this summer. Then it's pretty much done. All major systems have been addressed.

On the front bumper wing bolts, anti-seize is definitely your friend!

Yeah. I'm going to run a tap through them too. A couple are mangling the bolts.
I'm impressed with the OEM engineering. I'm used to installing super heavy welded plate steel bumpers. Each of these things only weigha about 25lbs more than the plastic factory bumper it replaced.
Mopar steel front bumper: 48lbs + 20lbs wings
Mopar steel rear bumper: 42lbs
Mopar steel skid plate: 18lbs
OEM plastic front bumper: 39lbs
OEM plastic rear bumper: 18lbs
OEM plastic air damn: ~5lbs
So all in all, only added 65lbs to the weight of the rig, including the new front skid plate. Not bad compared to the welded plate steel bumpers on my 100-series that weighed 130lbs in the front and probably 200lbs in the rear.

I have a meet up overnight trip down to Anza Borrego this weekend to meet up with my off road club. But the Jeep is going to be missing a lot. I haven't had a chance to install the freshly painted winch into the new bumper. Or wire up the new lights. I could install the new lights but that seems dumb. Also still need to finish my drawer by adding the tire down tracks and figuring out a way to secure it to the floor. I'm also in the middle of mounting my propane tank, adding a cutting board to the tailgate table, and building a sleeping platform. As well as sourcing replacement rear bumper closeouts. Oh well. I'll have to just throw everything in and go. Oh, and I also don't have an air compressor right now.
