Ya, the previous/original owner built it. He said his f150 got blown around when 18 wheelers passed going the opposite direction. My XD is super planted and the fairing needed some slight trimming for my XD so I took it off to trim, drove the truck and found it didn't do anything for mileage or stability so I've left it off. End of the day I would say it's not going to make enough difference one way or the other to be worth it.
Thanks, that’s helpful. I guess there’s no free lunch mpg-wise . . . .

Shakedown overlanding to Baja for 18 days with recently built out Tune M1 on F150. Truck and Tune did great. Some of my build suffered, and I desperately need to replace my cheapo fridges with an off-road capable fridge like Iceco, and a ViAir 400p. Full-electric, including heat and A/C. Lots of fixes and adjustments/rebuild before heading for Prudhoe Bay.

My Khaya perched on a 2014 GMC 2500 running diesel. It's just the basic shell right now so nothing particularly cool to share here. I do love it and am currently planning a full build out with the guys at Selkirk Offroad up by Sandpoint, Idaho. Adding power, refrigerator, a lower level bed, rod storage, shower cube and heater. Seriously considering going full out and swapping out the bed for a Mits Alloy flatbed with custom side cabinet storage. Will wait to see the quote from Selkirk before I commit to that though!

Pic is from a recent camping trip in Idaho.
