Very nice. Where was that at?

If you are going to run it... better hurry up. The trail will be closed soon, probably within the year.

Give OK credit there, did not know it had that landscape.

Eastern Oklahoma has some pretty mountains... they burst into color in October... truly a sight to see. Oklahoma shares the range with Arkansas. Western Oklahoma has a few mountains, lots of open plains, and a few interesting geological formations. There is also lots and lots of history there, with all the Native American tribes. Stay tuned... myself and some of the other central states folks will be putting a trip together for sometime in the fall.

That is one of the coolest camping spots I've seen. Love it!

Cindy and I had the pleasure of Jim (1Speed = Forum Handle), and his wife Pamela come up for a visit and stay with us the past few days.

This is their rig parked in our campground. I know it's not the typical camp site photos, but I thought I had to talk about it because of how cool their combo is!!!

Their Jeep has to be one of the coolest Jeep's I've ever laid eyes on, and the custom, off-road teardrop tailer Jim has built has been stopping traffic all day long.

Where is this?
...or is it a secret?

Google is a very good friend. only 2 spots the picture(s) could have been taken.
My guess is with in a 15-20 minutes of each other.

looks like a beautiful area. I see a lot of trails in the bottom, are they strictly foot trails?

Nope, our original plan was to drive up the bottom and camp there. We had to change it at the last minute because they opened up the flood gates upstream to keep the dam from breaking. :Wow1:

Pics of basecamp - relaxing in the outback. Didn't see any other vehicles apart from our group in 4 days exploring.
