Can the Front output shaft come out of LT230?

I'm trying to replace the front output shaft bearing on my t-case and the darn bearing won't come off the shaft. The shaft and the bearing slide in and out of the housing, but I'm afraid to pull the shaft all the way out cause I don't know if it's supporting anyhting inside? If I pull the shaft out, will I be able to slide it right back in, or will I screw myself and need to take the thing apart to get the shaft back in?

If I use a slide hammer, the shaft is still going to come with the bearing....

Send me an IM if you get in a bind next time. I have the full factory RAVE and the 2006 Microcat EPC. The RAVE contains, I believe, all of the modern Disco, Defender, and RR factory manuals, overhaul manuals, circuit diagrams, electronic libraries, owners manuals, etc... The EPC is the dealer guide to all the part numbers. My response time is a bit slow, but I'll do my best to find what you need.

Cheers,

Kevin

cool! thank you very much.

I had another t-case in the garage and I checked on that one before I took mine apart any further.
