CBI Bumper

I am looking for a rear bumper for my 2004 4Runner and understand that CBI is about my only choice. I have been trying over the past few weeks to reach them to get a rear bumper for my 4runner. No one has returned my calls or e-mails. Any idea if they are still in business? How can I reach them? Many thanks.

I called them a few days ago also and no response. I figured they were no longer in business but I think I remember someone from CBI being an active forum member, I am not sure if it was ExPo or TTORA though.

I hope they are still in business though, because if I ever get any sort of positive number showing in my bank account I would like CBI to be the reason for it to go back to it's usual negative.

I emailed CBI a few weeks ago for some information about a receiver-hitch tire carrier and they got back to me within about 4-5 days.

Remember most of these are small businesses and most likely the guy answering the emails is also doing a lot of other things around the shop (may even be the same person doing the welding and the fabricating.)

I'll also second the recommendations of Irbis and Armorology (although you might want to be sitting down when you get your price quotes, neither of them are cheap.)

I emailed them last week about a Tire Carrier for my FJ62, and they got right back to me.
They are absolutely still in business, but they are a small business that is fortunate to get a lot of work. Sometimes you can't get Demello or Inchworm or Budbuilt on the phone... They're out in the shop burning metal, not sitting in the office waiting for the phone to ring. - That's a good thing!

I'm sure the guys are busy out in the shop. Steve and the guys at CBI are great and if you ever think that they need a welfare check just let me know. Their shop is only about 25 miles south of me. I need another excuse to go down and visit them.

I spoke with SafariGuard a few months ago and they are looking into a rear bumper for the 4th gen 4Runner as well.

Thank You all for your responses. Yeah we are still here and are not going anywhere. Last week was a very very very busy week. We had a customer drive up from Southern California to have us design and build him a bumper for his 3rd gen 4Runner and we only had limited time so we poured the hours to it Monday through Thursday as he had to be in Farmington Friday for the W.E.Rock Finals.
