Maybe Tom could chime in on this as well - do either of you guys have a part# from Quaratech for these springs?
I've looked a couple times and can't isolate just the springs to see the pricing...

Also, what are the dimensions of your main box?

The item # that I see listed on the Invoice from Quadratec for the springs is 16203 020

The outside deminsions for the main box are 48W x 84L x 34T

I made the box bigger than most folks do because I need the space for some gold mining gear. Since the box was going to be a bit taller, I didn't want to put a hinged top on it since I wouldn't be able to reach in anyway. The gear isn't that heavy, just really takes up alot of volume.

Thanks for the Kudos from all of you guys. The RTT, annex, and awning should be here by the 3rd week of next month. I'm going to order the tires probably next week.....decided to stay away from the 35's to match my jeep and decided to go with about a 31". The JK Rubicon has 32's and the LJ has 35's. With the 31's and the hitch locations the trailer will be nicely leveled out on both rigs. I'm going to fab up something to mount the spare to the roof of the main box. Of coarse the rims will match the ones I have on the LJ:smiley_drive:.

Phase 2 will start about mid summer and will consist of all the good stuff......Batteries, solar, fridge, lighting, etc. Phase 2 is the really fun stuff!!

Thanks for the tip on the part#, from both of you! :D

Also, CD - how tall is the trailer after you put the 31's on it?
I'm thinking that my own outside dimensions will be 104"L x 56"W x 23-30"H and wondering if I'll be able to reach inside it as well. lol
I'm thinking that I may end up using the side platforms in front of the pass. side wheel well to step on if it ends up being too tall to comfortably reach into.

I'll pull a measurement tomorrow for you and let you know. Currently it has 30's on it for mock up. Since I didn't have a hinged lid, that is why mine has the front side door on it,... I can reach everywhere in the box without having to get in it or climb on it.

Once the RTT comes in I am going to be working on a retractable roof rack for the tent. It will fold down for transport and fold up when deployed. Since the RTT has an annex below it, I want 6 feet from the bottom of the tent to the ground for head clearance. I still havent quite fully wrapped my head around how I'm going to do it. It should be an interesting project though.

I was thinking about this same sort of thing for my own trailer, I just don't have any plans to mount an RTT to it any time soon, but want to make provisions for it if I choose that option later on.

I was thinking of having some vertical tubes mounted on the exterior of the trailer with an open top and bottom end and drilling pin holes through the sides about 3/8" diameter. (Use bolts or quick release type pins like in a receiver to secure the rack in a certain position.)
I was thinking about putting 6 in place, 1 in each of the four corners and 1 on either side of the trailer in the middle near the wheel wells.
Then all you have to do is use a matching size of tube that could slide into the "holsters" you've just made, and make an appropriate rack to hold the RTT.

This isn't a very fancy or elegant method, but it would be very strong, and versatile because you could mount other items with these vertical tubes when you don't have the RTT mounted.

Having said all of that, I'm not sure how you'd raise the apparatus in a manner that would keep it all level and prevent any binding...
If you've got a couple hundred pounds on te rack and trying to raise and lower it, you're probably going to need something to assist in the effort.

Exceptional workmanship!!

You better hope Delta doesn't see those pics, they'll put you to work full time making boxes!

Can't wait to see more progress, man it sure is nice to have a nice workshop and controlled environment to work in, keep up the good work!:smiley_drive:

Adam - The thought has crossed my mind.....:coffee: But the two businesses that I currently own have my plate pretty full. Maybe if I gave up sleep I could squease in a third biz.....hahaha, Additionaly it would cut into my "PLAY-TIME"........ We just can't have that!:sombrero:

Titanpat - I will say that if I ever build another trailer......... the side boxes will be purchased and NOT fabricated. By the time you add the material cost/fab labor/finish labor, the side boxes were a huge time killer and the cost was more than I could have purchased them for. Ever remembering that since I live up here in Alaska, from raw material to the cost of shipping up from the lower 48, everything cost more...... just get out the ole checkbook!:Wow1:

By the way....... Does anyone know the measurement on an ARB Series 3 Annex from the ground to the base of the tent? I know the Annex doesn't have a floor, it has flaps. So the measurement I'm looking for is for the side panel only, not including the flaps. Thanks!

Sleep is over-rated... :victory:
You did top-notch work on the trailer, but I can see having all the materials shipped up to you, and then the finished products getting shipped way down south would probably jack with the final cost quite a bit. lol
