Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

Can anybody think of any downgrade to getting this fridge for a dorm room than say other mini fridge/freezers? I am now thinking about getting this to add to supplement my current mini fridge sitting in my room.

Yep finally bought one myself. Months of should I, I don't know. Closed my eyes and clicked the mouse. No more melted ice for me.:victory:

I would say the biggest downfall for a dorm setting is that it opens from the top. You couldn't really set stuff on top of it or use it as a piece of furniture like a front loading fridge. The cool part is...you can take your fridge to where ever the "study sessions" are at. :sombrero:
EDIT: here's another shout out for great customer service from edgestar. I lost the little red end cap for my 12 volt power plug. I e-mailed them about ordering a new cable...they sent me one free of charge the same day..no questions asked other than what serial # and where do you live...

Got my 86qt today. excellent packaging. unit is quite nice. i am very happy with the purchase. will be a month or two before i get it in the truck. pretty sure i didnt need the 86 though. should have gotten the 63!
i will report though, that my latches are just touching when locked in. think ill just do a little tweak and ill be alright!

I got mine to day (43qt) and its huge. It's way more then I'll ever need considering I mostly do solo adventures. Cargo space in the back of my Xterra might become a concern. I may also be no longer able to sleep in the back with this massive fridge next to me.
But, things I like
1. Super ultra quiet can't even hear it run only feel it.
2. 5 gallon Coleman water jug fits like a freaking glove great for refilling Camelbaks on Mountain bike rides.
3. It cools relatively quickly while not consuming much power.
4. no ice
5.Tons of food and beer storage.

If you have time I would love to see some real world pictures of the 86. Mainly looking for size comparisons. We have a large family and I think it will be fine. Could you put a gallon of milk in it and take a pic?
Also curious to see how its gonna fit in your suburban, thats the same set up that I have.

Is that the slider for the Engel 34 qt fridge? It's listed for $315 but I don't think it's designed for the Edgestar 43 qt.
