20 3/4" wide by 28 1/2 long for the Edgestar 86qt

The Jumbo slide will accommodate the 63 ltr fridge. The 86 is just too big. I take it your measurements are off of an actual fridge. As mentioned above the manufacture often include the handles in their measurements, which will overstate the size.

yeah. those measurements were from the actual. it is kind of a beast... I will watch though in case tembo comes out with a XXL jumbo slide :D

Lol, well I got the 86qt b/c of the price (scratch and dent - 429$) I think the 63qt would have been more than enough, but....

I was checking their site yesterday and they had a scratch & dent for $349 free shipping on the 63 quart.
Will I have any regrets on getting the 63?? Space not a big issue as I also have off-road trailer for gear.
Will it be an unreasonable drain over a smaller model?

Just a thought. I'm currently working with a guy who bought a jumbo fridge. The issue we are working on is trying to clear the plug.

One idea I have come up with is to install 2" puck feet on the fridge. This will rise the fridge 2 inches and clear the slide base rails.

This could work on the 86qt Edgestar. Once it is strapped in, the fridge is not going anywhere. I don't know what the bottom of the Edgestar looks like, but it might be worth checking out.

I ordered the 63qt from Compact Appliance last Wednesday, priced at $339 shipped, as a "scratch and dent" item. It arrived here Saturday, so only 3 days later, by FedEx.

I opened the box this morning, and could not find a single scratch or dent anywhere on this unit. It's perfect, and is cooling down now!:victory:

How did you find it on that page? Did you go back and keep looking or were you able to find the page and enter your email to be notified?

I found the Open Box page and entered my email there, but haven't found the Scratch and Dent page yet.

Also, for those who can't wait, Amazon has the 63 qt. for $465 now.

I bookmarked the page and checked daily. Only takes a couple of seconds. The trick is finding the size you want, often none are available and then when they are, the 43qt and 84qt show up.

can't wait for next trip!!

I just bought a 86 quart one for $399 delivered. Seems like a smoking deal. I'm not too worried about the size since it will go in my sprinter.

that is a sweet deal! I still haven't overstuffed mine yet. Although the 86qt would be awesome for the garage.

Quick question for those who might know better than I....the fridge will run over your battery for days without draining the battery much....but if I ran it off the wall plug....through an inverter off my cig lighter....will it pull more energy thus draining my car battery quicker? Or would it be aprox the same.

Thanks!

It will last longer running directly off 12v than it will off of 12v battery, than it will through an inverter. There is some power lost when converting, and the compressor itself is designed to be run off 12v.
