Looks like my 43 qt Edge Star fridge is crapping out on me.
I have it set for 35 degrees and its slowly rising to 54-58 degrees. Ive tried to reset the temp at the panel and cleaned out the motor today still no luck
I missed out on a sale for the 63 qt fridge $207.00 free shipping
I emailed EdgeStar to ask about troubleshooting it to see whats wrong with it.
Anyone have any suggestions where to start looking?

Make sure the evaporator and condenser are clean. Heat must be able to transfer to the air efficiently.
if the compressor runs constantly, the system may be low on refrigerant. If it does not run, it may be out or have thermostat issues.

Very difficult to diagnose and troubleshoot remotely.

Do you guys get some kind of alert or something when these go on sale? I'd love to find those offers in time to actually get one before they sell out...

I didn't get an alert. I guess I just happened upon the website when they had them. I was just browsing the site when I found the larger 83 qt. refrigerator in the scratch & dent section and ordered that a couple days before I saw the 63 qt. model. After I ordered mine, I didn't see the 83 qt. model on there any longer, so I guess I got the last one, but that's when the 63 qt. models showed up, so I posted that on this site.

Mine died the same way. Turns out all the refrigerant had all leaked out. Mine was in use 24/7 for about 3 yrs before it crapped out. Main use was a beer fridge in the garage.

Did you find the leak and fix it? It is not too difficult for a refrigeration tech.

No I had already began to save up for an ARB 50qt. I sold it to a friend who had it looked at and he decided it was to much hassle so I think he sold it to Some one else.

:( I would liked to have had a chance to fix it. Hopefully it found the right home. Onward and upward!

I just received my 83 quart refrigerator tonight. I just finished unpacking it, and it's really big, or at least it seems that way. Mostly, it's the height of the unit that surprised me, even though I'd seen the specs beforehand. There is plenty of room inside, so it should serve me and my family well for camping expeditions, and may come in handy for those times I don't have enough room in my regular refrigerator after a trip to Costco. Even though it was sold as a "scratch and dent" unit, I have yet to find either on it. It appears to be in original (new) condition. I haven't yet tried running it, since I just unpacked it moments ago, but that will be next. If all goes well, I'd say it was a great deal since it was <$345 delivered to my door.

I tried to buy a Edgestar 43qt today, I was declined because they do not accept Canadian credit cards or paypal even though I have a US billing and shipping address.

Very annoyed right now. I sent an email, hopefully I get a positive response.
