I read the codes on the dash and at the dealership. The codes only direct you to the possibility of the problem. It does not pinpoint it.

Hey send me your e mail and when I get home I can find the papers how to check the codes but very easy

There is a procedure that involves pulling out fuses and it will flash the codes for you

Do you have this procedure handy?

I got the same thing pugslyyy has on his advice a while ago, and have had the exact same results on a 05 FG, accurate codes and easy clearing of them but nothing else. I'm happy with it.

There must be some fundamental differences between the US and Aus ECUs.
I recently bought one of these BAFX OBDII scan tools myself, to give it a try, but it does not seem to work with my FG84 (2011 model).
I have tried a few different apps, but none of them seem to be able to interpret the data correctly that's coming out of my ECU. Sigh................
