Choosing a Trailer Brake Controller...

As for mounting locations... It looks like the preferred setup is semi-vertical mounted to the dash in front/above of the driver's right knee?

Is the only concern in placement, aside from the unit's vertical/horizontal mounting limits, being able to access the emergency brake button?

Would it be ok to mount under the seat, for example? :-D

Thanks,

a different option

Has anyone tried one of theese?

It looks like what I have been looking for, as vehicle angles are taken out of the picture.
As far as getting one, I have been on their list for some time waiting. I am wondering if they have ever made them or if the website was just to gauge intrest.

If anyone has seen one, I would appreciate feedback.

Are the hills and angles/jolts not an issue with the other styles?

You have a Jeep right? Put it under the dash right above the center console and that way, you can see it and get to the manual brake switch. Click the link and you will see how mine is mounted in my TJ.

Thanks for all the input.

I had the same question for my Horizon and just rec'd a P3 from Etrailer.com based on all of your input. All I've done is set it so far, but overall the rig ('07 Taco TRD off-road w/AT Horizon) seems to brake much smoother.

BTW - The folks at Etrailer.com were great about getting it here quickly and seem to have great customer service.

EDIT - Hello everyone btw. I'm the one that purchased Allens Horizon (Harry).
