What a score! Very creative, and a totally sneaky way to slip it home.

Now how can we make sure there will be other deals like this in the future? Use the rental fleet (is it a fleet or just one?) for lots of weeks and stimulate demand? I really have to get Mrs. Roadie to use one for a week and then she'll want to sign up.

Adventure Trailers inc. are without a doubt one of the highest quality Companies I have ever dealt with. I hope they sell as many trailers as they want to.

Congrats on your purchase, you won't be disappointed.

There is one more trailer from the demo fleet that will be offered for sale early next year. There has been considerable interest from the general 4X4 community wanting to know if we have any used trailer available. The interest comes from “Portal” members, other forums, e mail and phone inquires.

What would be the fairest way to sell this trailer?

Should we just sell it to someone like Dave who is a sweet guy, has a dog who is into irrigation, and asked about a used trailer at the right time :) ?

Should we decide on a price and post it on http://www.atreport.com/demo&used.html first person to come up with the cash gets it?

Should we auction the trailer?

What should we do so that no one feels left out?

Offer it first to an interested person with a truck built on a shoestring budget, held together with chewing gum and zip ties? Someone who would not normally be able to afford one.

That gets my vote.

I dont see a need to get maximum exposure to recoup a fair price or to make it fair. Lets face it... there will be a huge demand for your product in used but perfectly servicable condition and someone somewhere will always feel slighted.

If it were my decision, i'd want to somehow reward the community that buttered my bread so to speak, and not the ebay surfer with the deepest pockets.

An announcement in certain circles with a link to post an offer?

A live auction at a major event.. like the EXPO Trophy?

A live auction at AT's next offroad gathering?

Just a few thoughts. :safari-rig:

Are you guys implying that our rig is held together with gum and zip ties?
I dunno, maybe? All of our trucks are hobbled together to some extent, that's for sure.

LOL
Don't worry, it's all Mil-Spec gum, duct tape, & zip ties.

So? How did the Missus take to the subterfuge? Or did I miss that post?

I blind folded her... walked her out... zig zagged.. turned a couple circles... she kind of got lost... which was my idea... then i turned on the lights and took the blind fold off. She said "Woa! howd you get it already?" "now i know why you left work early!!!" That was about it. She checked it out with me for about a half hour and seems totally excited to use it for new years.

I wish it could of been a Yellow TJ (that's what she wants).. but im not made of money lol

Does she know it's yours or still think it's a rental? Planning to tell her later it's permanent?
