Hey Eric :)
I have a NP241 I don't know what the difference between 240 and 241 one is... but the situation I am having with the NP241
is that the rear flange of the TC is centered with the transmission and the rear axle's input flange is off center. I could get it to work with
a double CV axle, but it will also hit the gas tank... so I'll have to get a fuel cell.
or I get an adapter kit for the Borg Warner TC and get the splines made... do you know the dimensions of the transfer-case shaft and how many splines it has?

MIKE email me few pics, let me see can we do , ill do my research in here. i am sure we can make it work the heavy duty way :)

i went up to Shasta lake (northern California ) this wed, and came back today, about 1300 miles, inside the rover i put 1000 lb pallet some kind of mineral for a friend , it drove fine up the hills , but what a difference 1000 lb payload can make .. after it was unloaded i felt like i was driving my corvette lol

used 12 gallons of atf mixed with diesel , , the best part is i got a complement form PRIUS driver , wowwwwwwwwwwwwww lol

here is a video of the alternative fuel

hows the rover doing now?

I just bought a 88 RRC and I will be doing the swap in the next couple of months.
I just have to decide if I am going to swap to a 6speed or keep the original trans

The 6speed does seem rather appealing because I am a team mechanic for the SRT Viper
So I may be able to snag the trans rather cheap...

Any pics of how you mounted the clutch pedal and master cylinder?

Also, if I decide to keep the stock trans do you still have any templates for the adapters?

HOWS THE ROVER? well she is just lovely . simple reliable noisy smelly ugly but very cool :) 6 speed if u wanna do is just awesome, with transfer case on low, you can take off using 4th gear . forget about 1st u will never use it unless u wanna climb up the wall .

i prefer automatic trans for offroad , but 6 speed changed my trucks personality 100% i think more experience is needed with manual trans.. with 6 speed truck runs very cool , engine rpm is down so is the noise ,

i still do have the template , but the original kit i sent it to one of the members here (ARMY ROVER), i wonder if he ever finished his rover
