OK here is final accurate fuel consumption . just got back from fishing trip, total of 500 miles, it took 20 gallons of fuel , ( 5 gallons used motor oil, free, 15 gallons of diesel 62 bucks)
i put fuel all the way to the neck before i left my house, that's 17 gallons on 89 model, and on the way back i stopped and put another 3.6 gallons i made it home right before it run out of fuel . 55 to 75 cruise speed depending on a grade

my rover is the worst aerodynamic classic range rover on the road, and i am sure its over 7000 lb

i rest my case :) i LOVE EVERY MILE I DRIVE NOW .

its time to go to next project ROVER 300tdi + 6 speed manual :)

That is a 25 mpg WAW
Still amazing ,I have a feeling about the 300tdi that it will have the same fuel consumption ,because it have less hp tand torque than the 6.2 ,but again it is lighter than then the 6.2 .
Good luck and thank you for all what you have done .

I would be careful using that as fuel. Motor oil has additives that do not burn. These will buildup on the injectors and in the engine over time.

MOTOR oil has been used as fuel many years now by all kind of diesel motors, i am using it for the past 10.000 miles. the key is to mix it and make sure its not 2 tick, it has to have the same or 15% less viscosity as diesel and u r good to go. in fact our style injection pumps love oil for more lubrication,

but yes i agree what you saying, it could buildup injectors if not mixed correctly ( its like a cocaine if used just a bit it will give u nice high, used over that and u gonna die from overdose ) haha

the cooking oil is crap vs used motor oil. i used them both. trans fluid is also not bad, i used that also.

i just bought myself a NV4500 I am still pondering , whether to install it with an adapter and the BW 44-62 or try to make the NP241 work...
or try and see if i can get a LT230 upside down to work... any ideas on that, Gents?

Hey Eric :)
I have a NP241 I don't know what the difference between 240 and 241 one is... but the situation I am having with the NP241
is that the rear flange of the TC is centered with the transmission and the rear axle's input flange is off center. I could get it to work with
a double CV axle, but it will also hit the gas tank... so I'll have to get a fuel cell.
or I get an adapter kit for the Borg Warner TC and get the splines made... do you know the dimensions of the transfer-case shaft and how many splines it has?
