I expect that removing the tent would get you below 1000. BTW - anyone know how to remove the tent/tent cover?
I was wondering if that was possible but affraid of messing something up.

There's an aluminum channel with a rope inserted to form a tongue-in-groove attachment for the tent fabric; the frame is mechanically attached as well.I expect that removing the tent would get you below 1000. BTW - anyone know how to remove the tent/tent cover?
Yes I looked at that... looked to be a REAL pain to get back on correctly! If I was within a 100 pounds, I would have removed all the exterior holders, the fridge slide and maybe tried to use my AL Toyota rims to lose the last few pounds. To lose the 260 would require taking the tent off.... I received a call from NYS this morning, I have to apply for a new VIN.... paperwork is on the way. Stay tuned!
My limit is 750lbs and I dont think that I can get it down that light. I dont mind registering it, I just hate paying the Sales Tax.

Weight was the one issue I did not have. Told 'em it was 900 lbs. (from the spec sheet).
It looks 900 lbs to me....
