Selling my 1998 Marmon Herrington AWD Crew Cab Ford F800 Conversion with air-engaged Hi/Low AWD

Powertrain: 12v Cummins mated to 6 Speed Manual Eaton Fuller. 48k Original Miles.

I meticulously rebuilt the entire powertrain, with no expense spared using only genuine or superior-to-oem parts, to make the truck fit for travel to extremely remote areas and enhance its performance to my standards. Many might compare this truck to a Stewart and Stevenson or some such medium duty rig, but in my humble opinion it is far superior to those. There are several reasons for this from the comfort of the interior, to ride quality, the 12v P-pump Cummins, & ease of sourcing parts while on the road, etc. but most of all because it is highly capable off-road while also being able to do 75mph down the freeway all day long. It is superior to newer medium duty rigs in that it will outlive them rather easily with its all mechanical/analog systems. I have put about 3000 miles on it since completing the rebuild with a grin ear to ear the whole time. I am selling because my family won't be ready to properly enjoy the truck for another 5-10 years.

The truck is in excellent condition from head to toe and from an era where manufacturers were still in an arms race in pursuing longevity.

The truck has powerful airbrakes and requires NO CDL to drive. It is also properly titled as an RV.

Truck makes ~300hp & 600+ ft/lbs of torque. All of engine the internals/rotating members were balanced in order to make the engine run as smooth as possible. It is the smoothest sounding Cummins I have ever heard. Runs like a sewing machine and cruises like a semi. See below for the full specs of the engine overhaul and living quarters.

I have a F700 4x4 that I remotored with a 6BTAA with just the slightest amount of pump modifications ( #10 plate & RPM springs to match the Allison MT653) and it has more than enough power!

I don't think the "ExPo types" give American 4x4 rigs like ours the credit they deserve.

Awesome! The 6bt is a wonderful engine. It's also perfect for overlanding in that Cummins designed the stock internals to handle 680hp. The massive over-engineering was to allow the motor to run safely on the poor quality fuel found in undeveloped countries. Bad fuel causes ill-timed detonation which stresses components. Modern diesels are not so amenable to the "real" world.
