Pretty safe to say these J brackets aren't going anywhere

Bit confused as to why there are three holes in the top plus sender hole. I thought 1 for pickup 1 for return. Maybe 2 pickups??

Shannon are they holes or hose connections
a lot of truck tanks have remote breathers so youd have a pick up, a return and a breather

Ahh now understand. Now I've just gotta do it. I'll keep you posted.

Alright tank fits

Even two bolts on the j brackets line up. Had to cut and shut the side rail but looks good. Just need to pick up some hardware for the Breather and fuel lines and rock and roll.

How many litres is the tank? If its over 200 I would suggest getting another J-bracket and using 3. And try to make sure 1 bracket lines up with a chassis crossmember. Canter chassis' aren't the greatest, and all the weight is hanging off the side. Just something to consider.
Andrew.

Tank is 260, the front bracket will line up with a cross member I was thinking of putting a second tank on the other side and putting a frame between them.

Sounds good Shannon IMO. Have seen not good setups with big tanks on one side only and the unbalanced load causing the suspension to list. ....if you're going to build a frame it should support the chassis from the downwards force of the heavier tanks.......the plates at the end of the crossmembers are where I have seen damage as a result of tanks bouncing.......that's the plate directly behind the tank bracket.

Regards john

I dont think listing will be a problem as the other side of the truck is the hydraulic pack and the majority of my tools. i want to make a frame to go on top of the tanks, to make up for not being able to fix to the tray and make it span the whole vehicle.

I compensate uneven load with the wife :victory:

Finally got to measure a Canter front shocker today, they are the same as a Toyota Hilux front shocker 81-88 model with leaf sprung front end, so there are dozens of options available.
