I picked up a M1008A1 from Sparta a couple months ago, no problem titling it in MI with the SF97, to bad to hear about WI. I am looking to turn it into a short overland/tow vehicle. I'm specifically looking for an older Bethany pop up truck camper. I plan on lifting it a little bit, maybe 2-1/2" and trimming to fit 37" military goodyears under it.

Test fitting some 37's, they almost fit. I think 2.5" and some trimming would be perfect. Maybe a 1" ORD zero rate for another inch of lift and to push the axle forward 1".

To make the 37" tires fit and not rub in Off Road conditions you will need a 4" lift and the 1" Zero Rate leaf. You should also shime the axles to reduce the drive line angle. It will vibrate pretty bad if you dont. I am currently running the so called 36" Military Wranglers on a set of 12 Bolt Military Hummve wheels. The suspension is stock and the tires are really 34" tall. They rubbed pretty bad until I banged the inner fender tabs in. A good off road trip with the wife following me in our Dodge proved to "bang" it out even a bit more. They dont rub nearly as much now. I have the ORD 4" lift with all the upgrades just waiting to be installed. I will run 35" as the 4" lift gives just enough room for those. Hope this helps.

Trimming as you say would definately help. But running 37" and a 2.5" or even 3.5 total with a bit of trimming may not be enough. BUT I DONT KNOW. Keep us posted.
