Thank you for the video Blackdawg. (if this is your real name...lol) I want to send you an awning for doing these videos. Please send me your info to my email and I will ship one out to you..

Bad ***!! :D ill make a vid of that too :p haha

wow that looks well built...sure do want one of these. is there enough room behind the ladder for a twin or queen air mattress? thanks for the video. great view of the annex that i have not seen before.

Yes they are very well built!

And im not 100% sure..i do know that once you stake down the walls and pull the walls out a bit on my rig as the walls are so long. You could fit two people laying there parallel to the truck. Not sure if the air mattress itself will fit..Id think a twin would no problem. Not sure on a queen..i still have it open though so i could pull my air mattress out and see..

Blackdawg, thank you so much for putting those videos together. Especially on the model of tent I purchased. It made my wife really happy seeing it and confirmed why we want one.

You bet man! You'll love it. I remember first opening mine i was like.. THIS THING IS HUGE! haha so roomy and easy to use.

Good to hear. I have a young son that is 18months and my wife is only 5ft. I was really hoping that we would all fit. I'm 6ft. Sounds like it will be great for a lot of years. I really didn't want to put a monster on the roof of the cruiser.

Oh it'll hold all 3 of you for a couple years then. If you and the wife lay long ways in the tent then the little guy can fit short ways. Im 6' 1'' and there is room below my feet for my bag and stuff easily. Plus, the annex will hold all 3 of you alone probably too haha There will be plenty of room even when he gets big. Two can be up or down and one the opposite.

Really with the annex, its a 4 man tent easy.

I have a Rainer - my wife is 5'9" and I am 6'4", and we sleep comfortably with two 50+lb dogs up there. It is ample.

The Rainer is 6' wide - The Shasta/Hood are 56" - I think you guys will be fine. Remember, smaller tents tend to be warmer, too.

I'm itching to get my tent and take off - I love my RTT. I'm never sleeping on the ground again, if I can help it.

Can someone post up a pic of the inside of the overhang? I would like to see how the tent material attaches to the overhang extension bar. I plan on mounting the tent on the top rails of a utility trailer. The dimensions for the Mt. Rainier rear mounted on the trailer and unpacking the the front would allow the overhang to cover up the front 2' or so of the trailer. This would allow me to put a fridge in the bed and have some weather protection. My problem is that I would need to have the overhang tent material temporarily attached to the extension bar. Ideally it would snap or velcro to the extension bar as to allow access to my fridge as needed. Anyone have a close up pic of the inside?

The tent just drapes over the extension bar. It's not connected to the fabric - in fact, you need to disconnect the bar from the tent to pack it up.

The overhang does have some tie down rings, and the tent comes with stakes and ropes. This keeps it from flopping around in the wind if you don't have the annex attached.

I don't think you're have any real trouble with your intended use, you should be able to tie it off to the trailer when deployed.

seems like a good idea..but idk how you plan on mounting the tent to so that the part that folds out has support. Im assuming your not gonna use the ladder.

I can snap a picture though for you later. Its just drapped over a bar. You have to use the green tie down lines to really keep it from blowing away. If you watch my setup video it kinda shows it..

I think could be a good idea to raffle something from CVT between to the people who buy in the group.

Any way the discount is awesome. :victory:
