D-cab owners opinion

Found this digging around today.

WOW....barely 6 months ago and 04 Tacos were going for even more than they are now.

Even NOW I feel lucky to have paid as little as I did, $19,500, for a 2004 with 34K.

They are great trucks, no doubt.

The price is what scared me away for so long. I was happy I was able to work out a good deal.

I bought my Taco DC TRD in Denver back in November. it had 49K and I believe I paid just shy of 20K for it. They were asking about 23. I trasded in my 02 Standard cab for it. I love my DC.

That awesome that you got your DC!!!

I payed $19,500 with only 40,000 miles on it! Great deal for the Seattle market!!! I looked at trucks same as mine for 25 to 27!!!! You could buy a brand-new one for that almost!!

Denvertaco,

How do you like your 882's? I am thinking about those for mine. How is the ride? How much lift did you get from them?

I just got an 04 Tacoma as well, though mine's not a double cab. Since one of my requirements was the ability to sleep in the back, that ruled out the DC.

As for the shell, yeah, they're $1000+ new, but if you're patient and not too picky about color, you can get a bargain by buying used. I got a forest green shell for my white tacoma (looks great) for just $150.00 off Craigslist. It does have a busted back window which will cost me about $250 to repair, but considering the model of the shell (Leer) even with the window repair I'll be almost $1000 ahead of where I'd have been if I bought new.
