As long as you stay with 33's or less and keep drive conservatively 17-18 shouldn't be a problem from my experience.

Same here. Growing up in Europe with the gas prices we had over there tought me from early on to take care of the milage. Normally I am doing pretty good.TheGillz said:
On the Jeep Commander however, my milage was between 14 and 15.5 mpg; when my wife drives it and like yours she is not really paying attention, she just wants to get there - quick - she gets about 12 if she is lucky.
Durango_60: One of the beauties of the Rubicon IMHO is that it already comes with one of the best tires. I plan on keeping the stock tires until they are worn out. I plan on a small lift, propably the Daystar BB which gives about 1 3/4" where the stock tires still look good.

I'm did the same thing, I've installed a RE 2" BB which makes the breakover angle bearable and I'll be running the stock tires for quite a while. I was just the very fortunate recepient of a another set of Rubicon wheels and tires off of an 08 for free!!! My old set is going on my M101 and my Jeep has brand new shoes again.

How does one become a professional driver. I would like that designation too.

Professional means, we do it for a living....its what we do for our day to day jobs......in a variety of ways.
High performance, offroad, transportation, distance, exploratory, concept testing....etc.
Basically, you need to get a few high performance (in a variety of fields) driving courses under your belt (not just driving school from when you turned 16 ) and start looking for work related to that through manufacturers, performance and design shops etc.
What got my "designation" is the addition of a variety of emergency driving courses (for law enforcement) high performance driving through Ford Canada, and driver of an amateur class rally vehicle....and now we run our own thing, plus provide services to one of our sponsors in performance testing.
