Delorme Gazetteer Storage?

I use a Timbuk2 courier bag. It will hold more gazetteers than I own (6). I picked this up about 5 years ago just for this purpose, but I have since used it for for more than 25 trade shows. It will carry more vendor catalogs than I want to carry. Here it has 5 gazetteers, 2 trail guides, a historic guide to Aurora, NV, Paher's Nevada Ghost Towns & Mining Camps (hardbound), a couple of FS maps, cell phone and GPS. It will also carry my laptop in a padded rear compartment.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Blue Ridge Overland yet. They make a nice bag that fits Delorme maps perfectly.

No affiliation...

I did. The travel bag made it's first trip over the weekend and worked great. Kept my Delorme's and county map books along with a couple magazines out of harm's way. Great product!

x2 on the Blue Ridge overland Gear. I love mine and use mine to keep a bunch of stuff in it. My Delorme fits perfectly, because it's made for it!

How many Delormes' can you fit into the Blue Ridge Overland Gear map storage pocket? And when full, is the hook and loop able to fasten securely?

I have been looking for a new carrier for some Delorme maps and was directed towards this.

Back Seat Organizer

Kick organization into gear with the Back Seat Organizer. This handy catch-all keeps important items within reach inside your car with five roomy pockets to hold and sort everything from maps and atlases to gloves, ice scrapers, umbrellas and tire gauges. It's also great for containing coloring books and magazines for kids. Its rugged strap buckles securely over a head rest for access from the back seat. Attach one to both the driver's seat and passenger's seat for multiple access points.
•Made from durable 600 denier polyester

Another vote for the Blue Ridge Overland Gear holders. They are great. I got tired of stuffing the Delorme's between the center console and passenger seat and having the corners get all ruined. Now they all go in the bag and the bag goes between the seats. It fits perfectly.

Wow, sorry to say, but now with years of Garmin ownership of Delorme, they ceased production of Delorme map accessories (thank god they still make the Gazetteer maps themselves; That could very well end someday if they determine it's not profitable enough...), and now it is impossible to find map protectors from Delorme. Truly sad. Also, Blue Ridge is not making map stuff, at least for the moment, so far as I can tell. I'm gonna speculate the demand wasn't there. Blue Ridge also appears to no longer make these awesome products: https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/blue-ridge-overland-gear-review-soft-bags.117744/ . https://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.com/collections/maps/products/map-folio-12-map-organizer

I recently ordered this Adventure Tool Company Atlas Map Case https://adventuretoolcompany.com/product/atlas-map-case And also their Expedition Map Case https://adventuretoolcompany.com/product/5--expedition-map-case . The Expedition which is for the smaller maps only comes in the one material; classic waxed canvas. The larger one for the Gazetteers, the Atlas Map Case, comes in multiple options, but I sprung to also get it in the classic waxed canvas. I figure if it was used for a hundred plus years, it's probably the right move. It has a strong odor as you would expect.

While I haven't put them to the test and only just unboxed them today they're clearly not junk and obviously high quality textiles and very nice. They are made in Colorado and before purchasing I spoke to a man whom I believe is the owner on the phone. I have nothing but good impressions.

I also just placed an order for the 5 pack of theses Arizona hobbies vinyl 5 pack protectors: https://www.arizonahobbies.com/road-atlas-cover-protective-clear-vinyl.html By far the cheapest option

I may at some point try this nice Etsy lady for her various high-capacity leather Atlas storage holders: she has them in various colors and options starting at 85.00$ before tax and shipping. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1487237767/overland-road-atlas-map-holder-a-waxed?ref=cart

I think sadly these may be the only three options left at the moment.

SeaLine map case.. basically a HD ziplock bag the size of a gazetteer. Mine has endured 15 years of abuse and just now needs to get replaced. My Benchmarks get beatup when they aren't in the case. I use one of the smaller SeaLines for keeping paper maps.
Recently moved production to China and according to an old green beret on reddit, they also changed the formula for the material and it no longer behaves as expected re: grease pencils erasing and such and maybe not as water resistant

Ok. Just checked out Adventure Tool Company website. All made in USA-Coloradi as you say. Pretty good to see. I'm already interested in the canvass atlas case, sticker (for the Leer truck cap of course) and the wool blankets. Wonder who makes those for them.
