Another great journey! Thanks for sharing.

We try to carry some of the glue pad type mice traps. They pack small & can be placed in many places. You target where the mice travel. In a overland vehicle you likely will want to use duct tape to place and secure as a rough road can move them around. The big plus is that you don't have to bait them which can draw more mice.

Thanks for watching!

Yeah, In every other truck we have carried traps with us but I was unprepared this time. We have actually had better luck with the snap traps. Have had them get away from the glue traps...and then they learn haha.

We are headed north on a route we took almost 6 years ago and we can't help but reminisce! When we first did this cross country, 52-hour drive, 3,000 + miles trip, from Arizona to Canada and back, (all in 4 days) it was to cut the roof off of our 80 Series Land Cruiser, Goose. During a winter storm no less. It's one of the dumber things we have ever done but it was the start of some big things and we don't regret it one bit. Come along as we share some of our fondest memories about the beginning of our big adventure.

Attention: the mentioned jump start Kit "XP-10-HD Micro-Start (Heavy Duty)" was not able to start my Land Cruiser 200 V8. But yes - it let it start crank slowly.

If your batterys are flat, this device isnt able to start the engine!! Not good for feeling safe.

Mine was an Land Cruiser V8 Diesel J20, so probably this is different to you rig.

Congrats to the new rig, the Land Cruiser 200 is the best vehicle out there for overlanding, very comfortable and capable.

I had to sell, because of growing family :)

Cheers, 200's are great rigs. We really love it. So versatile and the prices are coming down into the low 20's making them cheaper than a lot of 80 series.

The 5.7L V8 gasoline starts easily as did our diesel 80 series with the XP10, but that's only a straight 6. We've jump started the Ford Super Duty diesel V8's with it which are something like 7.3L as well as a buddy with an old Chevy big block V8. I wonder what went wrong if it was fully charged as the specs are more than enough to start the VDJ diesel engine. That's a scary moment when it won't start the truck!!

Bummer, I'd write to them and get a replacement and it should be good.

For us, thankfully the starting battery has a low voltage shutoff to protect it as well as using the deep cycle in an emergency to start it if the XP10 wasn't fully charged or failed. Nice to have backups to backups.

Cheers!

The european Spec J20 is more compareable with the LX-570 just with the V8 Diesel engine. He even comes with AHC (Active Height Suspension , adjustable dampers)

They come equipped with two Batterys in the engine bay per default

lt, guess he is more electronic juice hungry. Delivers 289 HP with 650nm, its a biturbo.

The XP-10 handles my other rigs well, even the BMW X1, or VW Transporter.

The batterys was both completely flat at my test (after shipment & with some months delay).

Sounds good with the mentioned backup backup plan!

We sit down and share some of our favorite off-road memories from our years of traveling through the Americas in a truck. We may be crazy but we have lots of good memories. Frankly, we still have a hard time believing we have done all these things.

Here is our review of the Starlink Starmount Systems flat mount. It allows us to have wifi offroad or rolling down the highway everywhere we go.

We sit down with some homemade pico de gallo and share our top 5 recoveries from our travels. We started our trip wanting to be remote and away from people only to be reminded how amazing it is to run into and interact with humans. We love giving back even if only in a small way like yanking people out of their stuck!

Binged a little over the weekend. The top 6 (?) with the climb above 18k was nutz! It was the 45pt turn to go back down that would've done me in!
I enjoy the leisurely style of the eatting off of the grill while recalling these adventures! Bacon management while doing so, very impressive!

Cheers! Can't wait to be somewhere without fire restrictions. BBQing makes everything better.
