Thanks Ray, that's very useful.

I drove up to Icon about a year ago, I was like a kid in a sweet shop :Wow1:
I'll definitely get in touch with them regarding the sliders but my first priority is sourcing some 18" rims.
If you have any ideas on that I'd love to hear them, otherwise it looks as if I'll have to ship a set from home.

Olly-
Finding 18's seems like looking for unicorns in the UAE, I asked my mechanic in Abu Dhabi (Abu Askoor-great dude and great rates) & he said it was quite difficult. His local salvage yard crew didn't have any-I crawled over their yard looking!

Regarding the bumper, def talk to Sam about fabrication. I nerded out and while working with them used this sketch

It came out more/less like that and is perfect for the application I wanted. The sliders need to tuck in more for my taste and I want to integrate some skid plate for the compressor into them but that's a follow up for down the road.

Best thing about this is the cost...for what I paid for bumper fabbed, sliders fabbed, and front runner rack-all installed-ARB barely would have had my bumper on the boat for a 3 month shipping time.

If you are ever in AD drop a line. We are actually in Muscat at the moment since we have relatives teaching here-Oman is beautiful!

I'm still working on good shots of the bumper, but here is another:

Cheers for that Ray.

I'm at Jebel Shams at the moment but will be back to Muscat permanently in a couple of months.
I've been working out here forever and a day so I know my way around the place fairly well :sombrero:
Give me a shout next time you're coming down or if you want any info on trips and destinations. I'll pm you my phone number

Thanks again

Sounds good Olly, we'll be in Muscat regularly since there is family there. Drove fairly close to you today as we came out via the inland route vice back up 1. Was a nicer drive I think.

Some more shots of the bumper in lieu of a build thread for the moment. Note it is asymmetric since there is a guard for the washer reservoir on the DS but nothing on the PS (EAS block re-routed). I was skeptical, but found I don't mind. Lots of room to access the winch. Control plugs into the remoted solenoid on top, etc.

A little scenery shot. It was dusty/hazy today sadly.

Well it took four attempts but I got it through to you.

It looks terrific. Its particularly useful to be able to see the standard of their work, so many thanks for that.
I'm on the fence about fitting a winch but totally sold on the idea of sliders.

Thanks again Ray
