Looks like the build is coming along well. Shopping for my own Fuso build right now, might hit you up for some insight.

Sounds good. Look forward to seeing your build!

I just ordered a pair of custom valved Bilstein 9100 shocks for the front on Friday. They take about a month to build. Looking forward to testing them out!

Put the truck to good use this weekend. Really going to miss the utility of this thing!

So how did you get the miata in there? My boss has been wanting to get his crx on the back of our flatbed, but it's about 42" high

The steering damper is a Bilstein unit for a dodge full size truck. I have put the vehicle in storage for the winter(Darn salty roads!) and don't have the exact part number. Around town it is much better. Haven't tested it in the dirt yet.

I stuck with the stock bump stops. I have made changes which keep the truck off them and didn't feel it warranted the expense.(Have noticed that modern F250 ford trucks have very similar bumpstops to the timbrens in the rear. May just snatch some from the junkyard sometime.)

How are the shocks working out for you so far?

We have the dubious distinction of highly salted roads in the winter. My truck has never seen these conditions as it has always been stored inside for winter, and until I take steps to prevent corrosion, it will stay that way.

I have just removed front upper shock mounts to modify them and confirmed the wicked rumor that these frames were assembled first and then painted. So this means no paint under any brackets. That combined with high tensile steel is a recipe for corrosion. Even on my pampered low mile truck surface rust was beginning. Anyways, I probably won't be pulling it out until March or April(except driving around the lot where it is stored.)

On the positive side, I am retiring in February so should be able to spend more time on the camper project after that!

Hay, Allan - quick question: How much clearance do you have between the front bump stops and their contact point? IOW, free upwards travel?

I know you did not ask me, but on my coil converted FG84 I have about 6 1/2" of free travel at the front before I would hit the Timbren style bump stop.
