Dave, Dave, Dave, we've never even met but damn if you don't mind I think I'll be stealing some of your ideas... Get this guy his own build up page, his truck is kicking ass. Demello did a fantastic job, and your truck is out of this world.:clapsmile Great job.

Doc,

The rack is killer!!! :safari-rig: Can't wait to see it with the tent open. Makes me want to start a new project...

Which lights are you going to run???

Very, very nice!

I like the hoops fore and aft of the tent. Thus allowing you to carry SURFBOARDS or kayaks or really big pieces of firewood.

Anyway nice job.

Wow! That is wicked awesome. How does it mount?

Thank you Sir!
I got some OEM toolbox replacement parts kits from my dealer and used those with some longer bolts to attach the rack and toolbox to the rail. There are 4 on each side for now, I will also be adding 2 more at the front rail.

Toyota part# PT767-35050-HK

Here is what they look like:

The Demello Expedition Rack is complete!
The forward basket has room for 7 Scepter cans (or 1 water, 1 fuel, and extra gear or firewood), 4 light tabs up front, 2 antenna tabs (CB and 2M), and 2 light tabs aft. The tent opens to the passenger side.

I can mount a total of twelve lights now..

And, those hoops will carry my future kayak topside, and keep it and trail brush from tearing up the Eezi-Awn's cover...

The rack is 7ft, 3 inches tall at the forward hoop. Tent is at about 6 ft off the ground. The rack looks heavy, but it is an easy two person lift on and off the ruck without tent, four person lift with tent. I wager the entire assembly (rack+tent) weighs in at around 200 lbs.

Can you say skookum?

I was currious to see what the final product would be. Well done, I like it.
Cheers ,
