Awww shucks... ya'll are embarassin' me now...

It's just a means to an end my friend... The Great Outdoors :wings:

I remember when I started the build, I used to think of all the cool places we could go. Now we are at that point where I feel like we can take this thing anywhere in North America without worry.

... We will need a few more mods for Central and South America though!;) :sombrero:

Now he just needs a killer aluminum belly pan skid plate to protect the underside.

Your always welcome in Canada. :)

Do you have any new news on Steve's design? Communication was so-so with me. One day all of a sudden there was a bumper on my front porch.

It's been off and on kind of. I'm hoping it will be here by the end of the week... hoping.

I'm still waiting for accurate measurements before I trim the quarters... measure twice, cut once!

Speaking of bumpers (not to hijack your thread) I was thinking about having Armorology build my back bumper. They do some killer work from what i've seen on the web site and the trip to Colorado springs would be nice.

Tacodoc, have you or know anybody who have had any experience with these guys?

The owner's name is Jed, and the stuff he creates is simply amazing.

The only gripe I know of is the fact that he won't ship, you have to bring the truck to him.

I know several guys that I wheel with that have had bumpers made at Armorology. No one has a bad thing to say about the quality and craftsmanship - it's all A+ work. If you can stand to wait on line (he's usually backlogged), and have your truck unavailable for a week or two while the work is being done, then I can't think of a better place to go for custom fab work.

I'm personally holding out for my back bumper from him, but I need to get a second vehicle and a few other things addressed before I can take the plunge. Unless I can get Mr Slee interested in doing Taco work :shakin:

I'm still waiting for the bumper to arrive and it's crunch time... the ExPo Death Valley trip is in one week!

I have decided to powdercoat the bumper vice paint since it is only $125 for coating, it will be better in the long run I guess.

I did get the new Optima PCT1700 MJT and Magellan Crossover installed this week. Still lots to do before Death Valley...

Steve is great, but I'm sorry to say don't hold your breath. It took months to get mine. It was worth the wait though. I do hope he gets it done and to you this week.

How was the fitament on the Odyssey? Any issues?

Fits perfect in the tray, the only issue was the battery hold down. The Optima 1700 is not as tall as the OEM battery so this weekend I'll fab something to fit tight. Right now I have the OEM hold down and a block of wood :)

The cables fit perfectly since the terminals match.

I was worried wieght would be an issue but it is only slightly heavier than the OEM battery so this is a great solution IMO.

You gotta like that! DId you have any issues with the OEM battery, or just decide to move on while you were still safe? The OEM battery with the tow package ain't too shabby at 165min reserve and 710 CCA.

That OEM battery was great and it never did fail me, but at 3 years old and with lots of accessories I felt it was time to send it into a reserve status :)

Now I will trickle charge it and keep it as a backup ;)

Relays

High quality relays can be procured at Napa. Here is Napa part# AR204SB

Relays are a must have when wiring lights and high draw 12V accessories. I'm posting this diagram as a reference since they are all basically the same, and every time I wire one up it seems like I have to re-learn it :)
