I think this would be a SUPER cool way to go. We just need someone to make one out of a Chrysler minivan now!

Not a new idea, and at least two US converters have been doing this to Sprinter's for a while (though with shorter units).

It's a really nice setup! In compare with the compact camper offering in Europe, the choices in the US is really close to non exist.

I think I saw a short vid from the manufacturer before. This was a more informative video. Thank you for posting this. I really like the idea but wonder how well it would hold up to a dusty road with "tortuous body bends"?
