The OEM 'raised air intake' is fairly restrictive.
I am waiting for the new OEM replacement 4" Safari Snorkel to be released, and will swap over from my OEM 'raised air intake' to it once it is available...
I need to do an update. I've been busy using it over the winter, but the National Luna dual battery system is excellent, and I just picked up a 60W Powerfilm folding solar panel and charge controller from Adventure Trailers, so that will be installed here pretty soon.
No more need to run the engine to charge batts when camped and using the fridge!
I can add a pic with the Toyo tires when I get back to myain computer.
Here are a couple of pics with the Toyo 35x13.5R15 tires...which were much too big IMHO. A lot of rubbing in tight turns, and while the 35" tires added a bit of highway speed (on the flats), it wasn't worth the weight....plus....how am I gonna find a replacement in Mexico for that size if I need it?
Sorry for the less than stellar quality...I didn't take many pics with the 35s, just wasn't my style....
Theres a couple of these for sale. If they had a/c, or at least an easily sourced a/c system, I would love to have one. The 70 section on mud has a few a/c threads and the expense of putting it into the truck is daunting to say the least. Cool truck
