Well...news for today, a local distributor, Carter Oil, is now selling B20 in Flagstaff!

Gotta support the locals!

In Flagstaff, B20 is about the most you can safely run year round. Summers, parking inside the garage at night, I can run 70%+-, but we're still getting down in the 40s some nights....

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
Great... If the B20 is well blended by the supplier (and it usually is) it is usually fine well below freezing. A good technique is grab a jar of it, leave one on your porch after you try it out in the fridge to see when it starts to crystalize :)

I'll do that.

Much easier to get B20 from the pump than make it in the garage....but the garage is more fun, so I'll probably still make a batch or two now and then.

Other than that, I finally got around to taking the carpet out and cleaning 20+ years of old coffee and french fries out of the rig...smells much better now that the carpet and seats have been washed! No more 20 year old cruiser smell!

Pulled out the aftermarket Clifford alarm, which wasn't working anyways, and rewired my own "custom" alarm/cut off system.

Next...2m/70cm radio install. Thinking about an OEM snorkel, turbo, and air conditioning (gotta find a good contact in Yemen or Saudi for the parts....:snorkel:)

Hey Andrew,
I will give you a call when I get back in country.
I have a bunch of bio-diesel stuff from when Nathan had his MB and it is just collecting dust. If you or anyone you know up there in Flag can you use it then consider it free and waiting.
I will take an inventory and pics then email it all to you in a week or less.

No need to look there Andrew, I have contacts in Japan or OZ maybe even in Kanukistan (as your truck came from there),for parts, send email with specifics and I will put you in touch. Didn't we already talk about this in an earlier posting?

Will do Jan! I'm likely looking at this fall before starting the mods, as my time is a bit short this summer.

"Kanukistan" how cute! Don't forget, if you buy things up here you can spend your "arctic pesos"...:sombrero:

Hello first reply in this forum

I can help you with the ac evaporator for your bj 70. I have bj70 in Texas with oem ac system.
I used to run 90% biodiesel in my 3b engine,no problem. Actually the engine was running smoother. The injection pump worked better, lower egts. nice smell.
I swap a toyota 14bt(same family as the 3b) in the Bj70, still using 90% biodiesel.

Home made Biodiesel

Cheers

Jan...I looked there...and couldn't find that fiche! Duh....guess I should have looked harder! Thanks!

But Yikes! Pricey! West Coast Cruisers has 'em for $500.00 with the airbox.

Spallet, first....Welcome to ExPo!

Thanks for the info. Happen to have a "spare" a/c system sitting around? JK...kinda....:coffeedrink:

Where in TX are you? Sometimes I get around Dallas, Austin, Lubbock & Midland. I'd love to check out the rig; there are not too many of these in the US!
