Aw, %@*# . . . I watched the video and now realize that I'm waaay underqualified to own my ER Jeep. No rock climbing experience, no scuba gear and not even a machete to my name.

I really like my little trucklet. Hope nobody shows up in the middle of the night demanding I turn it over to somebody suitably macho.

Way cool video; at 3:11 there's the Earthroamer on a small ferry followed by a Toyota van. Way cool because I'm certain that's the same ferry that carried my 1984 Toyota van, in 1986 during my 7 week turned into 12 week over all Central America tour. I determined to dig the photos out of storage for scanning!

Wished twenty years back they’d had XV-JP Earthroamers and that my 20 year old self could have afforded one!!

Thanks, my friend. Of course, the sad thing is that there's still some stuff I left out, 'cuz it's already an embarrassing long list. I seem to have been victimized by a handful of "too good to pass up" opportunities during the past eighteen months. It'll sort itself out someday soon . . . at least that's what I tell my wife.

Yes, ER has been working with Breakwater Entertainment to develop a new show called American Xplorer, featuring the Jeep-based ER, which will air on HDNet beginning in January 09. 13 episodes are ready to go in January.

That guy has absolutely no business operating a winch let alone that nice vehicle. Running a winch cable through your bare hands what a poor example to show the world.
